Project Manager (m/f/d) Cleaning Technology

Hako GmbH - Unternehmenszentrale Bad Oldesloe
Full-time
Permanent employee

Your mission

Our cleaning machines are developed by cross-functional project teams in which Engineering, Quality Assurance, Purchasing, Production, and Customer Service work closely together. To take overall charge of these development projects across the entire Cleaning Technology product range, we are creating a new role: you will own the budget, the schedule, and the results, and guide your project team safely to the finish line — even without direct line authority.

For our Cleaning Technology product line at our headquarters in Bad Oldesloe, we are looking for someone to start as soon as possible in a permanent, full-time role as

Project Manager (m/f/d) Cleaning Technology

Your tasks

  • Overall accountability for the budget, schedule, and scope of cross-functional development projects for our cleaning machines.
  • As the people lead, you guide, motivate, and carry your cross-functional project team — drawn from functions such as Quality Assurance, Purchasing, Production, Customer Service, and Product Management — and form the project's dual leadership together with the technical project lead.
  • Consistent delivery of the project's multi-dimensional targets, in particular time to market, manufacturing costs, and fulfillment of the requirements specification.
  • Within the project team, you make well-founded decisions quickly and address project risks early and pragmatically.
  • Managing external development partners and key suppliers in Germany and abroad — including a regular on-site presence.
  • Securing the resources your project needs, in close coordination with the respective departments.

Your profile

  • A degree in industrial engineering and management, an MBA, or alternatively in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or mechatronics — in each case combined with a strong commercial mindset.
  • Several years of professional experience leading complex, cross-functional development projects, along with a willingness to travel regularly in Germany and abroad.
  • Experience with both traditional and agile project management methods as well as with common project management and ticketing systems; initial experience with change communication is a plus.
  • Business-fluent German and English (at least CEFR level C1 in each), spoken and written.
  • Even without direct line authority, you win your project team over to your course, bring differing opinions on board, and make sure conflicts are resolved within the team rather than escalated.
  • You keep an eye on the details of complex development projects without getting lost in them, and drive projects consistently through to successful completion.
